Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger, born in Thal, an Austrian village, started lifting weights at the age of 15, having been elected Mr. Universe at the age of 20; other distinctions in the bodybuilding area followed, including seven Mr. Olympia titles. After emigrating to the USA, he made his film debut with Conan and The Barbarians. Several blockbusters followed, including five titles in the Terminator series, cult films such as Predator or Commando and also successful comedies and a television series. In 2003 he was elected Governor of California, a position he held for two terms, until 2011, having been responsible for an important reform of the state's infrastructure and the adoption of environmental policies. He later returned to his acting career, which he reconciles with entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
