Ariel Dorfman
He was born in 1942 in Argentina. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to the United States and, in 1954, moved to Chile, where Dorfman lived until the 1973 coup d'état.
Since the well-known "Para Leer el Pato Donald" (To Read Donald Duck), co-authored with Armand Mattelart, Ariel Dorfman has built a remarkable literary work, already translated into more than thirty languages. Among his works, "Patos, Elefantes y Héroes" (Ducks, Elephants and Heroes), "Acércate más y más: cuentos casi completos" (Come Closer and Closer: Almost Complete Stories), "La Muerte y la Doncella" (Death and the Maiden) and the memoir "Rumbo al Sur, Deseando el Norte" (Heading South, Desiring the North) stand out.
