Poeta, dramaturgo e artista plástico português (1909-1966) nascido em Cabo Verde, António Pedro da Costa pertenceu ao Grupo Surrealista de Londres em 1944-1945, altura em que trabalhou na BBC. Em 1947 integrou o Grupo Surrealista de Lisboa. Os seus primeiros livros de poesia intitulam-se Os Meus 7 Pecados Capitais (1926) e Máquina de Vidro (1931). Em 1935 surgem os 15 Poèmes au Hasard. É ainda autor da ficção Apenas uma Narrativa (1942), obra que marca os alvores do Surrealismo português.
