António Cabrita (1959) tem vinte e tal livros publicados, em Portugal, Brasil (três livros de ficção) e Moçambique (livros de fábulas, poesia e ensaio). Foi jornalista durante 23 anos e editor (Fim de Século e Íman Edições). Em 2005 emigrou para Moçambique onde, neste momento, é professor de Dramaturgia e cronista no semanário Savana. Tem também uma coluna no jornal Hoje Macau. Escreveu inúmeros filmes. De entre os seus livros destacam-se: Inferno, 2001, três guiões sobre Camilo Castelo Branco, escritos em parceria com Maria Velho da Costa, Bagagem não Reclamada, Anatomia Comparada dos Animais Selvagens (Prémio PEN Clube 2018), e a Kodak faliu. também Dick, o cão da minha infância, 2020, poesia; e A Maldição de Ondina, 2013 (finalista do Prémio Literário Casino da Póvoa - C. M. Póvoa de Varzim 2013), Éter, 2015 (finalista do Prémio PEN Clube 2016), A Paixão segundo João de Deus, 2019, e Fotografar contra a luz, 2020, romances. Como tradutor, realça-se a sua antologia de poesia hispânica, As Causas Perdidas, 2020.
