António Luís Botto e Sousa Quintans nasceu em Lisboa, em 25 de julho de 1959. Frequentou Gestão de Empresas na Universidade Livre de Lisboa. Entre 1985 e 2011, dedicou-se ao Turismo de Habitação da Quinta da Moita Longa. Escreveu para diversos jornais e revistas e, em 2014, publicou Contributos para a História da Aguardente Vínica Lourinhã D.O.C. Um ano mais tarde, publica Quinto Império - Testemunhos de uma história verídica. Em 2019, Um Novo Olhar sobre o Porto - Com cartas inéditas da Rainha D. Amélia, o qual viria a conhecer a sua versão em inglês, Porto, A New Feeling - Undited letters from the Portuguese Queen Amélia, no ano seguinte. Em abril de 2021, publicou Os Templários e o Milagre de Fátima e, em outubro do mesmo ano, História de Portugal à la Carte. Em 2022, publicou A Bienal da Tia Matilde.
