Antonino Solmer

Having previously worked in various professions, I graduated from the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema, and also completed postgraduate studies in several theatres and schools in Poland. I was an actor in... RDP and in RTPI've been an actor and director since I was 16, working with a wide variety of theater groups and companies, almost always also serving on their boards. People say I should talk about the Trindade and Teatro Nacional in Lisbon. But then I should talk about Lisbon, where I was also a board member of the Rafael de Oliveira Company, OS Cómicos, the Caixa Económica Operária – the oldest cooperative in Paris – and ContraRegra – Centro de Atividades Culturais. I was a theater teacher for over 20 years and still teach one class a year at two private schools. In 2000, I definitively opted for research and writing. I've been writing poetry or "something similar" for as long as I can remember; after all, it was my first way of acting, staging, and creating.
