Anton Szandor LaVey, (11 de abril de 1930 - 29 de outubro de 1997), foi o fundador Americano e Sumo Sacerdote da Igreja de Satanás, assim como um escritor, ocultista e músico. Ele foi o autor de A Bíblia Satânica e fundador da LaVeyan satanismo, um sistema de síntese da sua compreensão sobre a natureza humana e as idéias de filósofos que defendiam o materialismo e o individualismo, para a qual ele alegou ter inspiração sobrenatural.
