Anna Todd nasceu em 1989 e vive em Los Angeles com o marido. Como é fã fervorosa de boy bands e de literatura, decidiu escrever um livro que combinasse essas paixões, daí resultando a série After, cujas personagens são inspiradas na banda britânica One Direction. Publicada pela Editorial Presença, a série já vendeu mais de 4,5 milhões de exemplares e os seus direitos foram adquiridos para publicação em 39 países.
