Anna Freud

Anna Freud (3 de dezembro de 1895, 9 de outubro de 1982) de origem austríaca e britânica, foi a fundadora da psicanálise infantil e uma de suas principais especialistas. Também contribuiu de forma fundamental para a compreensão da forma como o ego, e a consciência, atuam para impedir a manifestação de ideias, impulsos e sentimentos dolorosos.
Filha mais nova de Sigmund Freud, Anna era muito dedicada ao pai e teve uma ligação estreita com o desenvolvimento da teoria e da prática psicanalíticas. Quando jovem, foi professora do ensino básico e a sua observação quotidiana das crianças atraiu-a para a psicologia infantil.
