Ann M. Martin

Ann M. Martin grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, with her parents and younger sister, Jane. After finishing her studies at Smith CollegeShe became a writer and later an editor of children's books. Today she is a full-time writer. Her passion for writing came early. Even before she was old enough to write, Ann M. Martin was already dictating stories to her mother so that she could put them on paper. After living in New York City for many years, she moved to a location near the Hudson River, where she now lives with her dog Sadie and her three cats: Gussie, Pippen, and Woody. In 1990, she created the Ann M. Martin Foundation, a foundation that helps underprivileged children, educational and literacy programs, homeless people, and abandoned animals.
