Andrei Kurkov
Andrei Kurkov, born in St. Petersburg in 1961, has lived in Kiev since childhood and writes in Russian. He studied foreign languages, worked as a newspaper editor and, during his military service, was a prison guard.
Later, he wrote numerous screenplays and televisão.Com the novel Death and the Penguin, already published by Porto Editora, achieved the status of one of the most famous contemporary Ukrainian writers. His books are published in 42 languages.
He has been a freelance author since 1996 and lives in Ukraine with his family.
