Anatóli Kuznetsov

Anatóli Kuznetsov nasceu em Kiev, na Ucrânia, a 18 de agosto de 1929, filho de pai russo e mãe ucraniana. Aos catorze anos, começou a registar os acontecimentos que testemunhou sobre o massacre de Bábi Iar, perpetrado pelos nazis durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. A primeira edição do seu livro ocorreu em 1966, numa versão censurada pelas autoridades russas. O texto integral seria publicado em 1970, sob o pseudónimo A. Anatoli, já após a fuga do autor para Londres, onde trabalhou como repórter para a Radio Liberty. Faleceu na capital britânica em 1979.
