Ana Cristina Leonardo estudou Filosofia. Há muita ligada à edição e jornalismo, trabalhou na Assírio & Alvim e em diversos jornais e revistas. Mantém atualmente uma crónica no Expresso. Publicou em 2008 o livro infantil, ilustrado por Álvaro Rosendo, «Joaninha, a Menina que não Queria Ser Gente» e, em 2018, o romance «O Centro do Mundo». Tem três filhas e dois netos e vive no Algarve com dois cães.
