Alimentado pelas bandas desenhadas de Frank Miller & Bill Sienkiewicz, pelos filmes de Bruce Lee e Sergio Leone, tudo isto envolvido pelos ritmos da soul dos anos 1966-76, Améziane (ainda não Amazing…) trabalha até ao fim de 2001 como ilustrador e designer gráfico. Tornando se Amazing, depois de ter produzido sozinho as cento e oitenta páginas de Bagmen em seis meses, Améziane divide o seu tempo entre os seus projetos a solo e as novelas gráficas com Sybille. Muhammad Ali (best seller do New York Times), escrito por Sybille Titeux de la Croix, foi o seu primeiro livro publicado nos EUA. Coassinaram igualmente L’Atelier des gueules cassées, em 2018, e Miss Davis, em 2020.
