Alfonso Martinez Arias

É professor investigador ICREA no departamento de Bioengenharia de Sistemas da Universitat Pompeu Fabra, em Barcelona, e foi anteriormente professor de Mecânica do Desenvolvimento na Universidade de Cambridge. Pelos seus contributos para a biologia do desenvolvimento, recebeu a Medalha Waddington da British Society of Developmental Biology e o prémio de Carreira da Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom. Como coautor de Principles of Development com Lewis Wolpert e Cheryll Tickle, recebeu o Undergraduate Textbook Prize da Royal Society of Biology.
