Alexandra Lucas Coelho has published 15 books. She has worked as a journalist since the late 1980s, in radio and in... Public, where she was a reporter, editor of literary supplements, co-editor of culture, and correspondent in Rio de Janeiro and Jerusalem. She has received several journalism and literature awards (Gazeta, APE, Oceanos). Five of her books are set in the Middle East, a region she has covered since 2002, including this volume, now reissued for the first time, 15 years after the events in Tahrir Square.
