Alberto Ai nasceu adulto e saudável com setenta e três quilos e um metro e setenta e nove, num certo e determinado dia de Primavera, na cidade de Lisboa. Com poucos meses de vida escrevia já pequenos textos para conceituadas publicações e revistas da especialidade, revelando desde logo uma tendência para a ironia e o paradoxo.
No seu primeiro romance, Alberto Ai reinventa o humor, e passados alguns dias do seu lançamento, autoproclama-se um dos mais influentes autores da sua Freguesia neste género literário.
