Começou a desenhar no início dos anos oitenta, em plena explosão da Movida, com um estilo inovador e muito pessoal que é o resultado da fusão da moda com a arte contemporânea, e tornou-se um fenómeno sociológico. Desfilou em quase todas as capitais do mundo, teve pontos de venda em cento e vinte países e tem quinhentas licenças dos seus produtos, de lençóis a louças.
