Adelaide nasceu em Angola e emigrou com os seus pais para Portugal com apenas três anos de idade devido à instabilidade política que se vivia no país. Adelaide viveu uma infância e adolescência atribulada fruto da separação dos pais e desde cedo usou a poesia para exprimir os seus sentimentos mais profundos e que sempre julgou incompreendidos.
