Clayton O'Malley was born into an old southern family that was once rich and powerful. But because of a horrible event in 1928, a voodoo curse was placed on the family. Sunsequently, their fortunes declined.
Clayton has just graduated from Berkeley with a masters in philosophy. His grandmother asks him to come home to restore and help sell one of the last remaining assets in the family, the magnificent wreck called O'Malley House.
Along the way, Clayton has help from Tamara Bushard, a archetecture student. Together, they bring the antebellum mansion back to life, only to discover that the rumors are more than true. The house is indeed haunted by a malevolent spirit vying to return to the world of the living.
It is only by acknowledging and accepting help from powers greater than himeself is Clayton able to free is family frm the voodoo curse and the demon that haunts his legacy, and in the process save the woman he loves.
