Timothy W. Ryback é o autor de The Last Survivor: Legacies of Dachau, considerado pelo The New York Times um dos melhores livros de 1999. Escreve para a The Atlantic Monthly, a The New Yorker, o The Wall Street Journal, e o The New York Times. É co-fundador e co-director do Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation, em Haia, e vive em Paris com a mulher e os três filhos.
